I am female in my early 40’ with a reasonably normal skin type. I don’t tend to be sensitive, dry, or oily. However, the changes in my hormones have been causing acne for the past year. I started laser therapy towards the beginning of the year to help even out my skin as well as control hormonal acne that was developing a week before my period. Laser therapy definitely helped, but the acne was still a problem. In August, I came to Aury Health and the consultation with Punam gave me hope! She listened to my skin goals, reviewed my current products as well as my skin care routine. I have now been using her compounded individualized prescription nightly and I finally went a month without a pimple! I had to make adjustments along the way because my skin needed more time to tolerate the medication, but Punam was a gem and helped me through it. I was also able to decrease the amount of products I use in my morning and night time routine. After a quick check in this past month, Punam was able to add in another medication to help with my hyperpigmentation from my recent pimples. I’m hoping the recent scarring will lighten up soon!
